The Western New York DX Association is an American Radio Relay League affiliated DX club dedicated to the improvement of each member's DXing skills, and also to helping each other become more proficient DX operators. Since the club's members have varying interests that involve every aspect of this great hobby, we are a group of hams with a great deal of experience and on-the-air operating tips. More importantly, we have a willingness to share them with you. In addition, our members are also always open to assisting you with your ham radio projects, such as putting up that new antenna, raising that new tower, repairing your radio, learning how to use that new logging software, or clearing up that RFI problem. We can help you work that rare new DX, or the one that has eluded you for years!

Besides WNYDXA's regular monthly meetings, the club participates in a number of activities such as the International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend at the Buffalo Lighthouse, and a great Club Picnic.

W2DXA is the club's 1st rate 2-meter repeater. It is on the frequency of 147.390 MHz with a plus offset and a PL tone of 88.5 Hz. Feel free to join in on our repeater conversations or call in some DX spots.

If you find this activity interesting, consider becoming a member of WNYDXA. I'm sure there is something your experience could add to our DX club! To become a member, you don't have to have a vast array of DX contacts. All you need is a genuine interest in DXing, a willingness to improve your operating skills and, a desire to abide by the ARRL code of ethics; the Amateur's Code. If you're interested you can find a club application at the Join Us Now link.

Come join us at one of our monthly meetings. They're held on the 2nd Friday of the month at Denny's Restaurant located at 4610 Genesee St., just east of the Buffalo Airport. Come on out and visit us first hand to see what we're all about. I know you're going to meet a great group of DXers! Meetings start at 7:30 PM, but many members arrive early to have dinner before the meeting!
